01 / How scanning works

Tap Take photo (or the big dashed box), photograph your document, and TightScan detects the corners automatically — drag them if you want to adjust, then tap Apply. Add as many pages as you need, then Export. Color is preserved; black & white is an export choice, not something baked into your scans.

02 / Why the files are so small

That is the whole point of TightScan. The four export presets (Email-safe, Text, Document, Photo) balance sharpness against size, from roughly 35 KB to 400 KB per page — where typical scanner apps produce megabytes. The size shown after export is the real size of your file.

03 / TightScan Pro

The free version adds one small "Made with TightScan" line on the last page of each PDF. TightScan Pro — a single one-time purchase, not a subscription — removes that line forever, on every export. Nothing else is held back: scanning, all presets, unlimited pages, sharing, saving, and printing are free for everyone.

04 / Restoring your purchase

New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open the PRO screen (top-right button) and tap Restore Purchases. Your entitlement comes back from your App Store or Google Play account — the same account you bought it with. Nothing to log into, nothing to remember.

05 / Where do my scans live?

Pages you scan live in the app only while you work; the PDFs you export live wherever you save or share them (Files, Drive, email, chat apps). TightScan has no cloud and no account — if you delete a PDF from your device, it is gone. A persistent in-app library is on our roadmap.

06 / Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds follow their rules. On the App Store, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Google Play, use your order history at play.google.com/store/account — and for Play purchases we can also help directly if you write to us.

07 / Privacy

TightScan collects nothing: no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no cloud. Full policy: privacy policy.
