1. Who we are

TightScan is a document scanning application for iOS and Android, published by Calnexia Studio (Ciprian-Alexandru Frasinescu), Saint-Raphaël, France. For anything in this policy, contact contact@calnexia.com.

2. What the app does with your documents

TightScan takes photos of paper documents, straightens and enhances them, and produces PDF files. All of this happens locally, on your device. Your photos, scans, and PDFs are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us — we operate no servers and the app has no account system. When you share or save a PDF, it goes only where you send it, through your device's standard share and save mechanisms.

3. Data we collect

None. TightScan collects no personal data, no usage data, no analytics, no crash reports, no advertising identifiers, and no device identifiers. The app shows no ads and contains no third-party tracking of any kind.

4. Camera and photos

Scanning uses your device's camera or photo library, with your permission, solely to capture the document you point it at. Captured images are processed on the device and are not transmitted anywhere by the app.

5. Purchases

TightScan offers one optional one-time purchase (TightScan Pro), processed entirely by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). We receive no personal or payment information from these transactions — payment data is handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies (Apple, Google). The app checks your purchase entitlement through the store's own mechanisms on your device.

6. Data retention

We retain no user data, because none is ever collected or transmitted to us. Your scans and PDFs exist only on your device (and wherever you yourself send them) and remain there until you delete them. If you email our support address, we keep that correspondence for up to 24 months so we can help with follow-ups, then delete it.

7. Data deletion

There is no deletion request to submit, because we hold no data about you. Deleting the app from your device deletes everything the app created there, except the PDF files you chose to save or share, which you can delete from wherever you put them. If you have ever emailed support and want that correspondence deleted sooner than 24 months, email contact@calnexia.com and we will delete it.

8. Children

TightScan is a utility intended for a general audience and does not target children. Since the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.

9. Your rights (GDPR and similar laws)

Under the GDPR and similar regulations you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Because TightScan processes your documents only locally on your device and sends us nothing, there is normally no personal data at our end for these rights to apply to — the only exception is support email, covered in sections 6 and 7. The data controller for that correspondence is Ciprian-Alexandru Frasinescu (Calnexia Studio), reachable at contact@calnexia.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).

10. Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated first and the effective date above will change. Given the app's design — everything local, nothing collected — we do not expect this policy to need much changing.
